Ghatshila, Oct 22: On the final day of nominations for the Ghatshila by-election, JLKM (Jharkhand Loktantrik Krantikari Morcha) candidate Ramdas Murmu filed his nomination papers in the presence of party supremo and Dumri MLA Jairam Mahato. Mahato led a massive roadshow from Fuldungri to Circus Maidan, where he addressed a large public meeting.
Attacking the BJP and JMM candidates, Mahato said he was saddened by the death of Ramdas Soren but criticized what he called the continuation of dynastic politics. Drawing a parallel to the Dumri by-election, he said, “Just as Tiger replaced Tiger after Jagarnath Mahato, in Ghatshila, Ramdas will replace Ramdas which will be the true tribute to the late leader.”
Mahato also took a jibe at Champai Soren, accusing him of promoting nepotism despite being a wealthy and experienced politician. He appealed to voters to support Ramdas Murmu, asserting that his victory would amplify the voice of the JKLM in Jharkhand’s politics.
