Rally in Jamshedpur urges citizens to boycott foreign goods, support Swadeshi Movement

Jamshedpur, June 1: The Swadeshi Jagran Manch (Jamshedpur Mahanagar) organised a rally in Sakchi on Sunday, promoting the slogan “Boycott Foreign Goods, Embrace Swadeshi.” Around 80 supporters participated, chanting slogans like “Boycott Walmart, Amazon, Flipkart,” “Foreign Products Are a Betrayal,” and “Say Vande Mataram by Choosing Indian Goods.”

After the rally, prominent speakers addressed the gathering. Manoj Singh, Chairman of Khadi and Village Industries Commission (Eastern India), emphasised that the use of indigenous products would boost employment and strengthen the economy by reducing dependence on foreign multinationals.

National environmental co-head of the Manch, Bande Shankar Singh, noted that amid the global trade war led by the US and China, adopting Swadeshi is crucial for India’s economic safety and growth. He added that even the Prime Minister has echoed this sentiment in his recent speeches.

Other key attendees included JDU district president Subodh Srivastava, Hindu Jagran Manch’s Jeetu Singh and senior leaders like Jata Shankar Pandey, Amit Mishra and Pankaj Singh. District coordinator Rajpati Ji delivered the vote of thanks. Numerous Swadeshi supporters and volunteers participated enthusiastically.
