Gamharia: Seraikela-Kharsawan district Congress committee members planted 100 saplings on the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi on Monday. Floral tributes were paid to the former PM at Lal Building Chowk, Gamharia.
Presiding over the programme, district vice president Phulkant Jha said the party workers should draw lessons from the life of the former PM and work for the welfare of poor people.
The saplings were planted at NKS ground and its adjoining areas.
The party workers who participated in the programme were Raju Rajak, Amulya Mahato, Lakhi Kumari, Vikas Das, Aseem Chakravarty and Sandhya Tudu.
