Rajendra Vidyalaya Jamshedpur marks Earth Day with eco-friendly drive

Jamshedpur, April 22: Rajendra Vidyalaya celebrated Earth Day on April 22, continuing its tradition of environmental advocacy. This year, the school’s Eco Club, in collaboration with the KORU Foundation, spearheaded an initiative to collect and recycle various forms of waste.

Led by Kiran Sinha, the Eco Club moderator and Senior In-charge, the school community participated in collecting e-waste, oil and milk packets, plastic waste, metal cans, and plastic bottles for recycling. President of the Eco Club, Shruti Jaiswal, along with other members, gathered recyclable materials from classes 1 to 12 over the past week.

Soft boards were creatively adorned to illustrate the significance of recycling and the detrimental effects of waste on the environment. Teachers and students engaged in discussions and activities aimed at raising awareness about the pressing need for environmental preservation.

Principal Jayanti Singh, Vice Principal Piyali Mukherjee, and Junior In-charge D. Vani emphasized the collective responsibility of students towards the environment. They stressed the importance of waste reduction and recycling, inspiring students to take follow-up action.
