Rajasthani culture comes alive during Marwari Sammelan�s Rangeelo Fagun celebrations

Jamshedpur : Zila Marwari Sammelan, Sakchi branch, celebrated Holi in a grand manner on Thursday and Friday. The festival of colours was celebrated from 10 am to 1 pm at Sakchi Dhalbhum Club ground. Members of Marwari community smeared abir and gulal on each other�s face and sang Holi songs.

In the evening, a cultural programme titled �Rangeelo Fagun� was organized by the Surabhi branch of Marwari Yuva Manch. Sweets and traditional Holi drinks were distributed on this occasion. The programme continued from 6.30 pm to 10 pm. Local artists presented many Rajasthani folk songs and dance. Many melodious bhajans were also sung o the occasion. At the conclusion, all participants congratulated one and all on the occasion of Holi. The guests included Nirmal Kabra, Umesh Sah and Bajrang Lal Agrawal.

This year Holika Dahan in Jugsalai took place in a different way. Cowdung cakes wee used in the place of firewood. Floral Holi celebrations took place at Sakchi Shiv Mandir on Thursday evening. Around 3000 people participated on this occasion. A feast was also organized for the participants.

The organizers of the two day events included Om Prakash Ringsia, Santosh Agrawal, Suryagyan Modi, Sitaram Debuka, Naresh Sanghi, Sanwarmal Agrawal, Bajrang Lal Agrawal, Bhanwarlal Khandelwal, Shravan Moonka, Omprakash Jhajharia, Naresh Kauntia, Pawan Poddar, Ramesh Moonka and Naresh Kauntia.
