Rain may disrupt Holi celebrations in Jharkhand

Mail News Service

Jamshedpur: Residents of Jharkhand, including Kolhan, may need to brace for a change in weather conditions, potentially impacting Holi celebrations. Despite bright sunshine gracing Jamshedpur on Saturday, meteorologist Dr. Abhishek Anand from the Ranchi Center predicts a shift in weather patterns across the region.

According to Dr. Anand, sunshine is expected to prevail throughout Jharkhand, including Kolhan, on Sunday. However, as the nation gears up to celebrate the festival of colors on March 25, there is a looming possibility of rain disrupting festivities in some states. A yellow alert has been issued, particularly concerning lightning occurrences.

While other districts may experience a partly cloudy sky, specific regions such as Deoghar, Dhanbad, Dumka, Giridih, Godda, Jamtara, Pakur, and Sahebganj in the north-eastern parts of the state might encounter drizzles on March 25. Following this, the weather is anticipated to transition to dry and clear conditions.

As preparations for Holi are underway, residents are advised to stay updated on weather forecasts and take necessary precautions to ensure the safety and enjoyment of the celebrations amidst potential rainfall disruptions.
