Rain brings down temperature in Jamshedpur, thunderstorms expected

Mail News Service

Jamshedpur, Sep 26: After several days of oppressive heat and relentless sunlight, residents of Jamshedpur are finally experiencing a welcome change in the weather. On September 25, the city recorded a maximum temperature of 29.7 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 24 degrees Celsius, thanks to light rain that persisted throughout the day, bringing much-needed relief from the heat and creating a cooler atmosphere.

Looking ahead, the forecast for September 26 predicts a maximum temperature of around 31 degrees Celsius, with the minimum remaining steady at 24 degrees Celsius. The day is expected to be predominantly cloudy, with the possibility of thunderstorms and heavy rainfall. The Meteorological Department has issued advisories urging residents to exercise caution during this time.

The department recommends that anyone venturing outdoors carry an umbrella or raincoat to stay dry. Residents should also avoid parking vehicles and valuables under trees due to the heightened risk of lightning during storms. It is advisable to refrain from standing beneath trees, as the chances of lightning strikes increase significantly during rainy weather.

The pleasant weather is not limited to Jamshedpur; nearby areas such as East Singhbhum, West Singhbhum, Simdega, and Seraikela-Kharsawan are also expected to enjoy similar conditions. Light rain, coupled with the potential for lightning and thunder, will require residents in these regions to remain alert and prepared.
