Jamshedpur, March 31: The Tatanagar Railway Engineering Department announced on Saturday the withdrawal of its notice to demolish the wall of the Jagannath temple situated near Khasmahal. It was revealed that the notice had been mistakenly pasted on the temple wall, prompting the railway authorities to promptly remove it on Saturday afternoon.

Upon learning of the notice, supporters of various political parties, including MLA Mangal Kalindi and Zila Parishad Vice President Pankaj Sinha, began gathering in Khasmahal early in the morning. The notice had sparked widespread anger among the local residents, leading to the swift action by railway authorities to retract it.

Reports indicate that the political leaders conveyed the sentiments of the people to Tatanagar railway officials, urging them to rescind the notice. Subsequently, recognizing the potential opposition and community backlash, the railway department opted to withdraw the notice, averting any potential conflict.
