Jamshedpur : The family members of slain railway contractor Vijay Pandey have blamed Titu Sharma, a notorious criminal operating in the city and Jharsugora in Odisha, the reason behind the murder.
They claimed that Sharma had come to Pandey’s house in Laxminagar in Telco area on May 14 and handed over his wife a threat letter, warning Pandey not to move in the Tatanagar railway area as he may have to face consequences.
Sources informed that during investigation the victim’s elder son, Abhishek revealed the name of Sharma before the police. Senior SP Amol V Homkar has sent a team of police officials to Jharsugora, where the criminal is suspected to be hiding.
A resident of Khaasmahal in Parsudih, Sharma is the younger brother of Rajesh Sharma, a leading railway contractor. Sources in the police said Sharma had come to Pandey’s house along with one of his associates on May 14 by riding the motorcycle of his brother.���

The victim’s son Abhishek had contacted the Telco PS officer-in-charge Kamleshwar Pandey and sought security cover for his father but later�he neglected obtaining the same.
Deputy superintendent of police (city) Animesh Nathani confirmed that Titu Sharma is the main suspect in the murder case.
” The needle of suspicion is on him and we have sent a team to out of the state for tracing out Sharma.� We have detained four-five men who are also suspected to be involved in the murder.�
