Jamshedpur: Jamshedpur Mahanagar BJP president Dinesh Kumar Tuesday said Prime Minister Narendra Modis strong public image had compelled Rahul Gandhi to tender an apology before the Apex Court over his Chowkidar remark. He said the Congress president had knelt down before the BJPs PM candidate as the Chowkidar is pure.
Addressing a press conference convened at BJPs Sakchi office, Kumar said the people of the country were proud of PM Modi. He lambasted the Congress party for misleading the people and insulting PM at international forums. He said Rahul Gandhi should apologize for such deeds.
Criticizing Mahagathbandhan candidate Champai Soren, the BJP president said the JMM leader had given false information in his affidavit filed during nomination. He said Soren had not mentioned about his three sons in his affidavit which he did in 2014 general elections.
Kumar also criticized state Congress chief Ajoy Kumar for spreading fear among the people of Jamshedpur. He said the Modi government had improved the living standard of poor people.
District BJP general secretary Anil Modi said Champai Soren was not a trustworthy candidate. He was accompanied by BJP spokesperson Ankit Anand.
