Ranchi, October 17: Ruling alliance (JMM-Congress-RJD) are likely to finalise contentious seat sharing issue in a day or two after the visit of former Bihar deputy chief minister and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav and Leader of opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi to Ranchi.
As per Congress sources, Congress MP and leader of opposition, Rahul Gandhi will address a ‘Save Constitution Conference” on October 19 in Ranchi.
State party president Keshav Mahato, leader of the legislative party Rameshwar Oraon, health minister Banna Gupta, agriculture minister Deepika Pandey Singh, former state president Rajesh Thakur, K.N Tripathi, Ravindra Singh, Manas Sinha, Madad Mohan Sharma, Vinay Sinha, Riyaz Ansari, Ujjwal Prakash Tiwari, Ashok Chaudhary, Jaishankar Pathak, Vishal Tirkey and M Tausif inspected the venue of Rahul Gandhi’s program.
A meeting will be held on October 18 regarding the seat sharing in the ruling coalition in Jharkhand. RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav will come to Ranchi on the same day. Leaders of Congress and Left parties will also be present in the meeting. The meeting will be held with Chief Minister Hemant Soren. If consensus is reached, a final decision on sharing will be taken on the same day.
Sources in JMM said that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi will be informed about the consensus reached on the seats in the meeting and after his nod it will be announced to the media.
Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) will also announce its candidates after the seat sharing is finalized.
Meanwhile, BJP is likely to announce its first list of candidates for Jharkhand assembly polls soon.
