Ranchi, October 17: With the Assembly elections knocking on Jharkhand’s door, all eyes are concentrated on seat-sharing arrangements. In this context, Rahul Gandhi, Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha and former National President of the Congress, is set to visit Ranchi on October 19. According to the media in-charge of Jharkhand Congress, Gandhi will participate in the Constitution Honor Conference, a significant event aimed at addressing constitutional rights.
Upon his return from Delhi, Congress State President Keshav Mahato Kamlesh, along with supporting leaders, is scheduled to host the conference at Carnival Auditorium, the proposed venue for the event. Preparations for the conference, which is also part of the Right to Justice program, are already underway, with Congress leaders actively involved in organizing the event. The venue has been selected following security assessments conducted by a team from Delhi, ensuring the safety of the attendees including Rahul Gandhi.
Congress leader Jagdish Sahu highlighted that during the Samvidhan Samman Sammelan, Rahul Gandhi will focus on the erosion of rights granted to Scheduled Castes, Tribes, OBCs, and Minorities by Baba Saheb Bhim Rao Ambedkar through the Constitution. He aims to raise awareness about the equal participation of marginalized sections in society and the continuing challenges they face in safeguarding their rights.
This will be the fifth such program hosted by Gandhi across the country. His visit is particularly significant ahead of the Assembly elections, as it seeks to convey to various societal groups that the NDA government at the Center is perceived as anti-Constitution.
