Raghunath Pandey elected Jusco Shramik Union president

Jamshedpur, Oct 26: Raghunath Pandey was elected the president of Jusco Shramik Union for the fifth consecutive time on Wednesday. CDS Krishnan of his faction was elected the general secretary.

Pandey received a total of 462 votes while his nearest rival Vinod Ram received 124 votes. He has been winning the president’s post since 2007.

Amarnath Tiwary was elected executive president. He defeated his nearest rival Govind Jha by securing 283 votes. There were four candidates in fray.

Opposition candidate Gopal Prasad Jaisawal was elected as the treasurer. He defeated his rival Kamlesh Singh by six votes.

The polling took place on the premises of Tata Steel UISL from 7 am to 4 pm. The counting of votes began in the evening and the election results were announced late night.
