Jsr East MLA challenges petitioner to approach any court 

Jamshedpur, July 30: Jamshedpur East MLA Saryu Roy has claimed that former chief minister and BJP national vice-president Raghubar Das is shocked at being surrounded in the Meinhardt scam and toffee- T shirt case.

The MLA said that this was the reason for Raghubar Das’s men spreading bad propaganda of corruption against him but he is not going to be intimidated by such propaganda.

Addressing media he said that the allegations leveled against him for indulging in corruption in the matter of publication of Aahar magazine are completely baseless.

“In this case, the High Court has given clear instructions to the petitioner (close to Raghuvar Das) that he can lodge his complaint wherever he wants. At the same time, the High Court did not accept the petitioner’s demand for a CBI inquiry,” said Roy.

 Saryu Roy openly challenged him and said that wherever the petitioner has to go. They are ready to face any situation wherever they go.

 He told that a hearing is to be held in the Ranchi High Court on September 9 in the Meinhart scam. At the same time, the ACB has completed the investigation of the Toffee T-shirt scam.

“Permission has been sought from the department for further action. Action can be taken in this matter anytime. Both the above cases are going to increase the troubles of Raghubar Das. Because of which they are making blatant allegations against him of indulging in corruption and are doing bad propaganda,” said Roy.

Saryu Roy told that health minister Banna Gupta is also involved in the propaganda against him. The order of the High Court is being distorted by his personal assistant and it is also being misrepresented in the social media. He said that the whereabouts of the person who filed the PIL in the High Court is not known. But misinformation is being spread in his name.

Saryu Roy said that the magazine was published only on the basis of departmental approval and consent.

Initially, the secretary of the department was the editor of the magazine. Later, Anand Kumar became assistant editor and a tender was floated for the publication of the magazine as per the rules. Earlier, the printing press from which the magazine was published, the maximum amount was withdrawn from the printing press due to the low rate in the tender. There is no such thing as scam in this.

Saryu Roy told that other public utilities like Children Park, Yatri Niwas, Town Hall located at Sidgoda Sun Temple were used by his special people under the protection of Raghubar Das for 10 years. During this, not even a penny of the earnings was deposited in the government treasury. When information about the amount earned from the use of government assets was sought under the Right to Information, the department informed that between 2010 and 2020, not a single penny was deposited in the government treasury.

“Whereas in the CAG report, fees were being collected from the people for children’s park and coupons were cut for this. After becoming MLA, I got the said assets freed from the possession of special people of Raghubar Das. Now the government is getting revenue from its booking,” said Roy.
