Jamshedpur: Sarvajanik Durga Puja Committee Food Plaza Sidhgora meeting held

Jamshedpur, July 30: The Sarvajanik Durga Puja Committee Food Plaza convened a general meeting at Bara Club House, Sidhgora, to review the previous year’s puja celebrations and present the financial report. Former General Secretary Praveen Kumar Mishra provided updates on financial report and other activities. During the meeting, former committee was dissolved by President Mohan Thakur.

For the year 2023, a new committee was unanimously formed for the Durga Puja celebrations, with Mohan Thakur being elected as the President, Dharmesh Kumar Jha alias Laddoo ji as general secretary, and Rajendra Kumar Karna as the Treasurer.

It is noteworthy that this puja is celebrated by all the Maithili-speaking people of Jamshedpur, who observe ten days of Vedic ritual worship of Bhagwati. The worship holds great significance and is widely recognized in the city. Maithili people from all corners of Jamshedpur gather to pay their respects to the mother goddess. The meeting saw the presence of prominent individuals such as Puran Jha (Head), Laxman Jha, Shivji Mishra, Rajesh Kumar Jha, Rajendra Kumar Karna, Pramod Kumar Mishra, Kumud Khan, Raman ji, Chandan Kumar, Chandrabhal Jha, Dilip Jha, Pandit Damodar Jha, Pandit Govind Jha, Mithilesh Jha, Shishir Kumar Jha, Sujit Kumar Jha, Mahavir Jha, Anand Kumar Mishra, Pradeep Jha, Laddu Jha, DK Jha, Professor Vinay Mishra, Vijay Kumar Jha, Vinay Kumar Jha, Naveen Kumar Jha, Amit Jha, Nilesh Jha, Subodh Jha, Ashok Mishra, Akhilesh Jha, Suresh Jha, Arun Kumar JCB, Kailash Jha, Arun Kumar Jha (artist), Vilas Jha, Ravindra Mishra, Satanji Mishra, and Manu, among others.
