Jamshedpur, July 30: On the special request of girl students, Jamshedpur Women’s University vice-chancellor Anjila Gupta has decided to give more time for enrollment in the university.
In a total of 14 subjects, the application limit has been extended till August 8. These subjects are – Commerce, Economics, Psychology, Home Science, Philosophy, Bengali, Oriya, Sanskrit, Urdu, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Botany and Music.
It may be noted that earlier the date was fixed till July 25 for the girl students desirous of graduation in these subjects, but many girl students could not apply. One reason was a confusion about the medium of CUET and the Chancellor Portal.
The university had also made it clear from the earlier release that girl students applying through chancellor portal would also be eligible for admission on the basis of merit list. This thing has become clear to the girl students after the publication of the first merit list. One more chance is being given to those who could not fill the form due to this reason. Girl candidates desirous of enrolling in UG from the above subjects will have to apply through the Chancellor portal as before.
