Jamshedpur, Oct 16: BJP national vice president Raghubar Das performed Kumari Puja at Shitla Mata Mandir in Bhalubasa on Maha Navami on Thursday, October 14. As per the religious tradition, a girl child is worshipped as the embodiment of Goddess Durga, the instiller of strength to conquer evil and let truth prevail.
Raghubar Das, the former Jharkhand Chief Minister offered prayers to 51 Kumaris or Kanyas on the occasion and was accompanied by his family members. It may be mentioned that the family of the BJP national vice president had established a holy urn, known as Kalash for the worship of Mata Bhagwati on the occasion of Navratri at the Shitla Mata Mandir in Bhalubasa.
