Jamshedpur: Former Chief Minister of Jharkhand and former Governor of Odisha, Raghubar Das, has made his return to active politics after re-joining the BJP. Following his membership reactivation at the state BJP office in Ranchi, he arrived in Jamshedpur on Sunday, where he was given a warm welcome by party workers and local leaders.
At his residence in Agrico, Das looked visibly happy and excited to reconnect with old colleagues and well-wishers. Speaking to the media, he expressed his gratitude towards the people of Jamshedpur, saying, “I salute the people of Jamshedpur who took someone from the working class to the top.” He further praised the enthusiasm of the party workers present and emphasized that the protection of public interest remains his foremost priority.
Addressing questions about the state’s new government, Das noted that the Indi alliance had received a significant mandate from the people of Jharkhand. “The Indi alliance government must fulfil the promises it made to the people,” he stated. He also reiterated the importance of the opposition’s role, saying, “The public has voted for the NDA and brought it to the opposition; if the government fails to meet its promises, we will continue to agitate for the people’s rights.”
Das’s return to politics and his strong message to the state government indicate his continued commitment to serving the people and advocating for their interests.
