Jamshedpur: Madrasi Sammelani organized a cultural program today to honor the legacy of Sri Thyagaraja, the renowned Carnatic classical singer, poet, and great devotee of Sri Rama. The event featured performances by several local South Indian classical singers, including Manga Thayaru, Shailaja, Usha Rajan, Gayatri, Vani, Shruti, Jayashree, and Pradeep on Tabla.
The artists rendered the Pancha Ratna kritis composed by Thyagaraja, along with several other devotional songs. The soulful renditions captivated the audience, who greatly appreciated the performances.
The event began with the performing artists and members of Madrasi Sammelani paying their respects by garlanding the portrait of Sri Thyagaraja, honoring his profound contribution to the world of Carnatic music.
