RAF 106 Battalion spreads awareness against drug abuse

Jamshedpur: International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking was celebrated on Tuesday in Parvati Ghat area, Bistupur, under the aegis of the 106 Battalion of Rapid Action Force in collaboration with the city-based social outfit �Healthy Humanity�.

The Chief Medical Officer of CRPF, Dr Lawrence Wandu, said addiction was dangerous for humankind. He asked the youths to stay away from addiction of all sorts. Getting addicted leads to destruction of the entire body, he said.

Smita Kumari of Healthy Humanity said addicts should save the money they spend on addiction and use the same for their families and education.
Among those present during the programme included Rajendra Kumar, Mehar Madan, Smita Kumari, Iftekhar Ansari, Rakesh Chandra Prasad and Prabhat Kumar.
