Jamshedpur: In compliance with the directives of District Magistrate-cum-Deputy Commissioner Ananya Mittal, a vehicle checking drive was conducted in Jamshedpur to ensure a to make Jamshedpur free from traffic jam. The drive, led by Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) Dhalbhum, Shatabdi Majumdar, focused on clearing encroachments in no parking zones. Fines were imposed on vehicle owners found violating the rules.

Speaking on the occasion, Majumdar emphasized the need for public cooperation in making the city free of traffic congestion. She highlighted that the traffic situation in crowded market areas has already improved, but sustained efforts and citizen support are necessary to achieve complete congestion-free roads. She urged the residents to refrain from parking in no parking zones as it causes traffic snarls. Strict action, including fines, will be taken against violators in future checks.

The drive saw active participation from Executive Magistrate Sudipta Raj, Motor Vehicle Inspector Suraj Hembram, Traffic Inspector, and other officials and staff.
