Jamshedpur, Dec 23: ABMP Adarsh High School in Rahargoda, operated by Shiksha Prasar Kendra Jamshedpur Tata Motors, organized 62nd Annual Sports Competition on Tuesday.
The event was inaugurated by Manasi Club Secretary Reena Padan as the chief guest, with Manasi Club Joint Secretary J Deepa Fernando as the special guest.

The competition featured 64 events, including races, field events, and fun activities. Around 950 students participated, divided into six boys’ groups, six girls’ groups, and four houses—Red, Blue, Yellow, and Green. The sports activities included 100m, 200m, 75m, and 4x100m relay races, shot put, discus throw, long jump, and triple jump, alongside children’s events such as frog races and sack races. Teachers also participated, with a 200m walking race for male teachers and a spoon race for female teachers.

Notable winners included Ayush Kumar, who clinched first place in both the 100m and 200m boys’ races, and Supriya Kumari, who won both the 100m and 200m girls’ races. In the shot put, Lucky Kumar and Anushka Gagarai took top honors in the boys’ and girls’ categories, respectively. The Blue House triumphed in both the boys’ and girls’ 4x100m relay races, while Green House emerged as the overall winner with 168 points, narrowly beating Blue House (158 points).
The Best Athlete awards were presented to Piyush Kumar in the boys’ category and Ankit Gagarai in the girls’ category. The event concluded with a vote of thanks from teacher Asha Sunita Minj, recognizing the collective effort of staff and students in making the event a success.
