Provide land and water to mega industrial units: CM to officer

Ranchi, Oct 14: Chief Minister Raghubar Das directed the concerned officers to provide land and water to mega industrial units & food processing units anticipating its stand to industrialize the state to a healthy extent.

He said that nodal officers should be appointed to communicate with entrepreneurs willing to establish industries in the state. JSW Ltd. Hindalco industries Ltd. & CCL pipeline projects were reviewed by the govt. Hindalco industries Ltd. & JSW Ltd. have purchased land at Mundari & Sonahatu ( for building steel plant, township & Railway siding ) respectively & are legally undergoing settlement by the govt.

For the expansion of Piparwar railway siding project, Churi- Bainti Project at Khalari & K.D.H. project, form -2 of Gair-Majarua Forest Land has been provided to the C.C.L G.M. Moreover, permissible compensation & authentication of the jamabandis are being done.

Projects of Jindal Industrial Power Ltd. of Singhbhum, Bhushan Power & Steel Ltd, I.O. T. Infrastructure Energy Service Ltd., Corporate Ispat Alloys Ltd. , Adhunik Power & Natural Resource Ltd. , Kohinoor Steel, Abhijeet Infrastructure Ltd.& Rungta Mines were reviewed.

It was found in the review that many companies are delaying the establishment of their project. Hence the CM has directed to conduct meeting with them & report their status.

Different companies have given their requirement for land around Ranchi for a project of Rs. 670 crore for the establishment of Food Processing Industries, vegetable processing, frozen food, herbal processing, fruit juice, dairy ,tomato powdering etc.

The Govt. is trying to acquire RIADA land & other land for this purpose. A bottling plant is to be established by B.P.C.L. near Ranchi. In the meeting, the companies having MOU with the govt. were reviewed.
