Protest in Jamshedpur over Ayodhya temple donation theft

Jamshedpur, July 9 : Social organisations and local residents on Thursday launched a protest in Jamshedpur over the alleged theft of donations offered at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, demanding a fair and independent investigation into the matter.

A rally was taken out from Sakchi Aam Bagan to the Deputy Commissioner’s office, with participants raising slogans against the BJP and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).

The procession drew significant public attention as several participants dressed as Lord Ram, Goddess Sita, Lakshman and members of the Vanar Sena.

After reaching the Deputy Commissioner’s office, the demonstrators staged a protest and submitted a memorandum addressed to the President of India through the Deputy Commissioner.

The protesters demanded that the alleged Ram Temple donation theft case be investigated under the supervision of a judge of the Supreme Court, claiming that a fair probe would not be possible under the present “double-engine” government in Ayodhya.
They further alleged that merely removing or expelling individuals such as Champat Rai and Gopal Yadav from their positions would not ensure a transparent investigation. According to the protesters, the role of other persons allegedly connected with the case should also be thoroughly examined to establish accountability.
