Jamshedpur, March 27: Vande Bharat Express will soon run from Howrah to Varanasi. Eastern Railway has started preparations for this. With the commencement of this train service, the people of Dhanbad in Jharkhand and Gaya in Bihar will direct benefit. This train running between Howrah to Varanasi will cover the distance in about six hours. Earlier, the journey from Howrah to Varanasi took around 16-17 hours by train.
No official announcement regarding the commencement of the train service has been made yet. The Railway Ministry is planning to run the train soon on this route on a priority basis. At present Eastern Railway is running Vande Bharat Express from Howrah to New Jalpaiguri.
According to sources, it takes 14-15 hours to cover a distance of about 750 kilometers from Howrah to Varanasi by rail route. The Howrah-Varanasi-Howrah Vande Bharat Express proposed by the Ministry of Railways will cover its journey in 6-7 hours.
According to sources, Vande Bharat Express running between Howrah to Varanasi will also stop in Jharkhand and Bihar between Bengal-Uttar Pradesh. This train will stop at Asansol, Dhanbad, Gaya and Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay railway station. The proposed Vande Bharat Express between Howrah – Varanasi will run at a maximum speed of 150 kmph. The train will reach Varanasi via Howrah-Dhanbad-Gaya-Deen Dayal Upadhyay route. With the commencement of the Howrah-Varanasi Vande Bharat Express, passengers will be greatly facilitated and will be able to travel from Howrah to Varanasi in very less time. There is a plan to run 400 Vande Bharat Express across the country. The Railway Ministry has a plan to run 400 Vande Bharat Express trains across the country. So far, 11 Vande Bharat Express trains have been started. It may be known that the first Vande Bharat Express ran between Varanasi – New Delhi Vande Bharat Express. The second Vande Bharat Express ran from New Delhi to Mata Vaishno Devi. Recently, a Vande Bharat Express was made operational in Karnataka.
