Jamshedpur, March 27: Police arrested four persons for allegedly demanding extortion money of Rs 50,000 from a businessman of Odisha in Bagbera police station area here on Sunday. The accused persons were identified as Datla alias Raju Lala, Tarakeshwar Rai, Hathi and one other of Harharguttu area. Tarakeshwar Rai has gone to jail more than a dozen times in cases pertaining to kidnapping, robbery, extortion, Arms Act. The accused persons allegedly tried to threaten the victim by claiming themselves to be the men of Superintendent of Police (SP). Acting promptly on the complaint, police arrested the four and interrogated them in connection with the allegations.
