Promotion as per rules: UCIL GM 

Jamshedpur, August 22 : On the misleading news being published against UCIL in the local newspaper, on behalf of UCIL Company General Manager SK Sharma, organized a press conference in the company room today and denied the news published.

SK Sharma informed about the future plans of the uranium project.

Sanjay Sharma said that UCIL works under the Companies Act and Rules. The news and allegations against the company published in local newspapers are motivated by malicious intent. On the allegations against him, he said that he was ready to face any investigation by independent agency.

He said that company is being operated under the policy-rules. Strict action has been taken where mistakes were noticed. Presently, whatever allegations have been leveled against the CMD of the company and him, all these complaints have been made by the officer of the company motivated by malicious intent, on whom strict action was taken by the vigilance department of the company after finding fault.

In relation to continuous promotion given to Surojit Das, CMD’s additional secretary of the company and sequentially given jobs to his relatives, Sanjay Kumar Sharma said that all the promotions have been given to Surojit Das as per the policy rules of the company.

Apart from this, as far as jobs are given to their relatives, then all the people have been given jobs under the displacement and rehabilitation policy of the company.

He said that on the basis of his qualification he has been made additional secretary of CMD Ramendra Gupta, then former CMD Diwakar Acharya and then he has been posted as the additional secretary of the present CMD Chandru Kumar Asnani.

As far as the investigation against him by the Central Vigilance Commission is concerned, No such inquiry is going on by the commission on them nor any complaint has been filed.
