Elocution Competition at Sacred Heart Convent School, Gracey Dugar best speaker

 Jamshedpur: The Sacred Heart Convent School in Jamshedpur witnessed a remarkable showcase of the art of public speaking as the Elocution Competition unfolded its charm on Monday. Echoing the sentiments of “giving power to words,” the event demonstrated how eloquence can influence, inspire, and transform lives. The competition proved to be a platform for students to conquer the stage fear that often plagues young minds.

The event catered to students from different age groups, allowing them to interact with the audience and grasp the nuances of effective public speaking, including voice modulation and confidence. As the students took the stage, the preparation and practice that went into their speeches were evident, reflecting their sincere efforts.

The choice of topics further highlighted the event’s thoughtful planning. While younger children recited poetry, the older students tackled a range of subjects. From celebrating eminent personalities like Rabindranath Tagore and Malala Yusufzai to discussing thought-provoking themes, the participants’ speeches were designed to foster research, critical thinking, and self-expression.

The judging panel, comprising Ratnabali Sengupta and Jayashree Sharma, found themselves in a pleasant yet challenging situation. The students’ compelling articulation made the task of selecting winners a formidable one. Sister Rashmita A.C., the School Principal, expressed her pleasure at witnessing the students’ commendable performance and their ability to convey their thoughts effectively.
