Projects of infrastructural development in rural areas decisive: Jamshedpur DC

NABARD workshop held 


Jamshedpur, Dec. 17: A one-day workshop was organized by NABARD in Kolhan division under Rural Infrastructure Development Fund (RIDF) for the various implementing departments of NABARD loan funded rural infrastructure development projects today at a hotel in Sakchi.
 

The workshop was inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner East Singhbhum Suraj Kumar. Subrata Nanda General Manager NABARD Regional Office Ranchi, Parmeshwar Bhagat Deputy Development Commissioner East Singhbhum, Praveen Kumar Gagrai Deputy Development Commissioner Seraikela Kharsawan, Siddharth Shankar District Development Manager NABARD East Singhbhum cum Seraikela Kharsawan, Saket Kumar DDM NABARD West Singhbhum, Mamta Priyadarshi DFO East Singhbhum, PN Singh, Chief Engineer Icha-Galudih Complex, AK Das, Chief Engineer Chandil Complex, Water Resources Department, and Executive Engineers of various departments of the three districts attended.


Deputy Commissioner East Singhbhum described the infrastructure development projects in rural areas as a crucial component for sustainable and long-term development, he stressed upon need for quality and timely completion of these projects.


Subrata Nanda, General Manager, NABARD informed that NABARD provides loans to the State Government under Rural Infrastructure Development Fund for infrastructure development in rural areas as and when required.The main objective of this divisional workshop is to give impetus to various infrastructure projects funded by NABARD in Kolhan division, as well as in the near future, various proposed important projects in Kolhan division will be funded under RIDF on priority basis as per the requirement of the state government. To promote the development of this area.

MoU for Marketing of Agricultural Produce


Subrata Kumar Nanda, General Manager, NABARD, Regional Office Ranchi took stock of the progress of various projects funded by NABARD in East Singhbhum and Seraikela Kharsawan districts. On this occasion, an MoU was signed between Patmada Progressive Agro Producer Company Limited, a Farmer Producer Organization (FPO) formed by NABARD and All Season Farm Fresh, a Jharkhand-based agri export company for marketing of agricultural produce.
 NABARD is funding watershed, FSPF, REPF, FPO, IWMS, LEDP, MEDP, skill development project in East Singhbhum and Seraikela-Kharsawan district. On the occasion, representatives of various NGOs including Siddharth Shankar, District Development Manager NABARD, Mithilesh Kalindi District Horticulture Officer, Abdul Hamid Khan MD All Season Farm Fresh, Sanjay Kachhap Secretary Market Committee, Jamshedpur, Prasejit Das CEO Patmada FPO, were present.
