Process of granting benefits of schemes to continue even after campaign: Jharkhand CM

“We sought our outstanding royalty rights and Centre sent CBI, ED, IT against us”

Ranchi, November 5: Chief minister Hemant Soren announced that the process of giving benefits under government schemes would be continued in the state even after the Apki Yojana, Apki Sarkar, Apke Dwar campaign.

“So far under the Sarkar Apke Dwar campaign we have received more than 31 lakh applications and more than 20 lakh applications have been resolved. It is our endeavour to ensure that maximum number of applications are processed. Such a camp was organized in the year 2021 also. It is being organized again this year in a mission mode. However, even after November 15 beneficiaries would continue to be linked to the schemes across Jharkhand,” said Soren addressing a function in Ramgarh to review the Sarkar Apke Dwar campaign.

The Chief Minister said that for the first time after the formation of the state, there is an atmosphere of enthusiasm.

“We can see an atmosphere of fair  like excitementin panchayats where the camps are being held. The government stands with farmers, workers, women, youth and all the needy. The priority of the government is to strengthen the rural economy,” said Soren.

Criticising the BJP-led Central government, Soren said, “We requested the Government of India to clear the state’s due of pending royalty rights which is to the tune of Rs 1.36 lakh crore. However, the Centre did not pay us and instead send Central agencies like ED, CBI and IT against us.”

The Chief Minister said that the students of the state would soon get the benefit of CM Sarathi Yojana. The government will provide financial assistance for pursuing studies in engineering, law and other subjects. The government has envisaged the student credit card, through which the government will provide financial support for higher education at low interest. The government is developing the model school on the lines of a private school.

While leaving the venue, the Chief Minister went to the school girls and interacted with them about their studies and their condition.
