Ranchi: Chief Secretary Sajal Chakraborty today directed all departments to prioritize the development schemes. He was speaking at a meeting regarding 13th Finance Commission at Project Building with Finance Department officials. At the meeting Finance Secretary AP Singh presented the detailed Department-wise report of budget allocations.Chief Secretary reviewed the withdrawals and lapses of different departments. Principal Secretaries, Secretaries and officials of all the Departments were present during the meeting.
Chief Minister Hemant Soren today ordered for an CBI inquiry into the matter of providing jobs to students by a organization named Digdarshan of Kanta Toli in the capital by branding them as surrendered naxalites. He has also asked for report within fifteen days.
He said in the fraud poor students have been cheated of lakhs of rupees. The issue also had an element arms smuggling. In a naxal affected state this free flow of firearms was a matter of concern and the organization in question has given a bad mane to naxal surrender policy of the government. It was a serious offence and there was a need to have investigated in proper manner, the Chief Minister said.He also instructed the concerned Deputy Commissioners to induct the victim students in self employment and others schemes of the government on priority basis.
He said that fraud puts a question mark on the government�s policy of providing jobs to the surrendered naxalites. He said that as most of the victim students generally belonged to tribals and backward classes an attempt had been made to present a picture that the naxalites belonged to this section of the society.
