Jamshedpur : The prime accused in the double murder case in Telco, Mithun Kumar has been arrested by the police. A resident of Golmuri, Mithun (35) was found in wounded situation near the marine drive under Sonari police station area past midnight. Sub-inspector Shatrughna Singh of Sonari police station found Mithun having consumed phenyle.
Later during interrogation by the Sonari police station officer-in-charge Animesh Gupta, Mithun revealed his identity and also pointed out that he was false implicated in the Telco twin murder case taken place on the night of March 2.
Gupta rushed him to the MGM Medical College and Hospital for treatment and subsequently informed his Telco counterpart Kamleshwar Pandey about the breakthrough this morning.
Significantly, during the search at the medical college hospital, the police recovered a suicide note from the possession of Mithun. In the suicide note, Mithun has said that he was being falsely implicated in the murder case.
Two youths were shot dead at Jemco. The bodies were identified as Prem Kumar (22), a resident of Parsudih and Sanjay Singh (23), a resident of Carriage Colony in Burmamines.
The police said that due to dispute over financial matter between Mithun Kumar, the prime accused in the case and Sanjay Beta’s uncle Narayan Singh the youths were killed. The police have recovered a bike. The bodies were sent to the MGM Medical College mortuary.
Officer-in-charge, Telco police station Kamleshwar Pandy said that a monetary dispute between Mithun and Narayan Singh over the payment was bone of contention.
“We are investigating the incident as per our information prior to attacking the youths, Mithun and his associates had went to scrap-iron depot at Burmamines. At the depot which belonged to Narayan Singh, five persons including Singh were consuming liquor. Mithun first asked Narayan to pay his money, but as he refused to do so Mithun fished out a pistol,” said the officer-in-charge.
The police said they have already seized the SUV used in the twin-murder and also identified those involved in the murder.” We have full information that all the five assailants have fled the city, but we have the cell-phone number of Mithun.
We are trying to track the accused by putting the cell-number on surveillance. We are hopeful of arresting the twin murder case accused soon.
