Jamshedpur: President Droupadi Murmu will lay the foundation stone for the development of Badampahar station on November 21, a project undertaken by the South Eastern Railway under the Amrit Bharat Scheme. President Murmu, hailing from the district where the station is located, will preside over the foundation stone-laying ceremony on the specified date. Subsequently, she will undertake a train journey to Rairangpur, and upon arrival, she is slated to inaugurate the commencement of three new train services.
Accompanying the President during this significant event will be Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav. The preparations for this event are already underway. The new trains will operate through the Badampahar-Rairangpur station, with the necessary arrangements made by the railway authorities. The ongoing development projects at Badampahar and Rairangpur railway stations are being closely monitored by the General Manager of South Eastern Railway.
President Droupadi Murmu, after a tenure of 15 months in office, will revisit her hometown of Rairangpur on November 21. During this visit, she is expected to announce several substantial railway-related initiatives for the local residents.
In the course of the ceremony, President Murmu will inaugurate the Shalimar-Badampahar Weekly Express, Badampahar-Rourkela Weekly Express, and Tatanagar-Badampahar MEMU Special Train from the Badampahar station under the Chakradharpur Railway Division. Special arrangements and preparations are actively being made for this event, including the personal inspection of Badampahar and Rairangpur stations by the General Manager, Anil Kumar Mishra. Strict instructions have been issued to officials, emphasizing safety measures during the President’s visit.
