Jamshedpur’s DBMS Kadma School teacher accused of physically assaulting student

Abhibhavak Sangh files complaint with DSE

Jamshedpur: In a disturbing incident at DBMS High School in Kadma, allegations of physical assault on an eighth-grade student have come to light, prompting the Jamshedpur Abhibhavak Sangh (Parents Association) to take action. The accused teacher, identified as Ajay Ram, allegedly subjected the student, Dilsha Alam, to brutal beating during a classroom incident.

The Association has formally lodged a written complaint with the District Superintendent of Education (DSE) cum Nodal Officer District RTE Cell, Nishu Kumari. Demanding strict action against the accused teacher in accordance with the provisions of the Right to Education (RTE) Act, the association has brought the incident to the attention of education authorities.

According to Jamshedpur Abhibhavak Sangh Union President Dr Umesh Kumar, the incident unfolded when some students were engaged in conversation within the classroom. Despite the teacher’s initial instructions for silence, a group of students, including Dilsha Alam, reportedly continued talking.

Subsequently, the teacher singled out Dilsha, instructing him to remain quiet. When Dilsha claimed innocence, the situation escalated as the teacher allegedly scolded him and, ultimately, resorted to physical violence.

Dr Umesh Kumar highlighted that the teacher not only verbally reprimanded Dilsha but also slapped him twice and subjected him to further physical assault. The Association has called for a thorough investigation into the matter and appropriate action against the accused teacher.

Notably, parents of the affected student were present alongside Dr Umesh Kumar when they submitted the complaint to the District Superintendent of Education.
