Jamshedpur : Preparations for the Founder’s Day (March 3) in Jamshedpur are on in full swing. Jubilee Park and other institutions of Tata Steel are being prepared to be lit up. Tata Group chairman Cyrus P Mistry is expected to participate in the celebrations.
The entire Jubilee Park, including the Jayanti Sarovar and Upvan, will be decked up for the week-long festivities. Instead, there will be a complete representation of the founder Jamshetji Nusserwanji Tata’s global visions. The global thoughts and ideals of the founder, which have strengthened the company’s foundations, would be on displayed. Apart from Tata Steel and other companies of the Tata group, hotels and restaurants are also being decked up for the occasion.
It’s not Tata Steel alone but, Steel city at large is gearing up to celebrate the Founder’s Day, the birth anniversary of J N Tata on 3rd March, the founder of the Steel major and the one who laid the foundation of the semi cosmopolitan city of the erstwhile Bihar. Inside works floats would demonstrate how the departments have incorporated their working based on Tata philosophy.
Besides, the annual tributes paying celebration inside the premises of Tata Steel works and illumination of the Jubilee Park, which is primarily the company’s affair, several of the city based social organisations have planned to hold programmes on 3rd March to pay their heartily tributes to the iconic personality of the Indian history.
These orgnisations will take out colourful pageantry near Food Plaza on March 3 to pay tributes to the visionary.
Jamshedpur Citizens’ Forum, the oldest outfit of the denizens of the Jamshedpur is holding a meeting of their members on the Founder’s Day to pay rich tributes to the visionary personality of the country.
Nevertheless, Jusco, the leading utility services company that oversees the planning and management of the city has made elaborate arrangements in the places of public hangouts particularly, in Jubilee Park, Dorabji Tata Park and Zoological Park to mark the birth anniversary celebrations of the founder.
“Jubilee Park, which is the main attraction during the week long illumination celebration to mark the birth anniversary, is being decorated with lights and other sister Parks including, Dorab ji Tata and Zoological Park too, are being decorated with lights,” said a Jusco official.
The Founder’s Day celebration this year promises to be sweeter and bigger than ever before. Officials Gujarati Sanatan Samaj informed that their organisation will convene a meeting of the office bearers on the important day to pay tributes to the pioneer of Indian Steel industry.
“For years, we have been celebrating the birth anniversary of J N Tata and this year too, we will hold a programme to pay our respect to the founder of the Indian Steel industry,” said an official.
Sports activities will also form an important part of the festivities at Gopal Maidan. Inter-school, intra Tata Steel and inter-Tata companies are the three levels in which the sports activities would be held.
