Ramgarh: Prabhat Pheri was taken out on the first day on the Prakash Utsav of Shri Guru Nanak Dev, the originator of Sikhism and the first Guru of the Sikhs. A large number of men and women from the Sikh community participated on the first day of Prabhatferi. People kept walking in Prabhat Pheri singing sadh-sangat. Ramdayal Singh Chopra, former head of Kujju Gurudwara, was walking ahead leading the Sangat with Nishan Saheb in his hands.
The whole area echoed with the words “Guru Nanak ki Vadiai Simar, Nanak Ghar Ke Gole, Hai Tan Man Vasya Soi, Sukh Tera Ditta Laaye”. There was a lot of enthusiasm among the people about Prabhatpheri.
Prabhatferi left Gurudwara Sahib, passed through Subash Chowk, Jhanda Chowk, Chatti Bazar, Lohar Tola and reached the house of Late Gyan Singh Chhabra near Hotel Waves, where the group and Sangat were welcomed by the Chhabra family. On behalf of the Gurdwara Management Committee, Sardar Papinder Singh Khambe honored Sardar Mahipal Singh Chhabra by giving him Sarupa.
Here the Chhabra family arranged tea and breakfast for the company. In Prabhatferi, Ramgarh Gurdwara Mit Pradhan Amarjit Singh Saini, Mit Pradhan Happy Chhabra, Jitendra Singh Pawar, Kuljit Singh Kalra, Tejinder Singh Soni, Raghuveer Singh, Jaswinder Singh Saluja, Gurpreet Chana, Gurpreet Singh Kulwant Marwah, Jagjit Singh, Palwinder Singh Bal, Gurjeet. Singh Saluja, Iqbal Singh, Yash Chhabra, Jigar Chhabra, Raja Kalra, Neetu Singh Jassal, Sweety Soni, Sumi Jolie, Gurbaksh Kaur, Ranjit Kaur Balwinder Kaur were present.
