Jamshedpur, May 7: Chief Minister Raghubar Das Tuesday said Prime Minister Narendra Modi had joined hands with its National Democratic Alliance (NDA) allies to take the nation forward on the path of development. On the other hand, he said, the Congress had allied with Opposition parties to take the country backward.
Campaigning in support of the NDA candidate from Jamshedpur Parliamentary seat in Potka, Bidyut Baran Mahato, the CM said a tea seller had become Prime Minister and ever since he worked hard to ensure faster development of the nation. The PM not only dreamt about development but also worked sincerely to make it possible, he said.
Das assailed the Congress party for exploiting the Adivasis and Moolvasis of Jharkhand. He said the Congress and JMM had misled the people of the state. He said the BJP had provided power supply and toilet to every household in the last four and a half year.
The CM said JMM supremo Sibu Soren was sure to lose his Dumka seat this time round. He said the voters had understood that the JMM had no concern for their development and welfare.
Das also visited Baharagora and addressed a public meeting.
Also present on the occasion, rebel MLA from Mandu Jai Prakash Bhai Patel sought voters� support for Bidyut Baran Mahato.
Potka MLA Menka Sardar too, campaigned in support of the NDA candidate.
Among others present on the occasion included Pintu Sarangi, Haldhar Naraya Sah, Khelaram Besra, Vibhishan Singh Sardar, Manoj Ram and Chandrashekhar Gupta.

Lok Sabha polls a challenge for JMM: Hemant Soren

Jamshedpur, May 7: Jharkhand Mukti Morcha executive president and former Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren visited Chakri village on Tuesday to campaign for party candidate Champai Soren. He also addressed a public meeting on this occasion. He said the BJP-led governments at the Centre and in Ranchi had long neglected the poor and enemployed people. He said the BJP-led government was used to making new laws for the benefit of capitalists and outsiders. He said the government was searching for minerals in the state with the help of satellites and that it was planning to exploit the natural resources.
Soren said the JMM was a party of the soil which always worried for the protection and welfare of the Adivasis and Moolvasis. He said the BJP government had tampered with the CNT and SPT laws for economic gains. He asked voters to vote for Champai Soren and defeat the NDA candidate Bidyut Baran Mahato.
Among others present on the occasion included Sanjeev Sardar, Sunil Mahato, Chandravati Mahato, Hiramani Murmu, Ganesh Sardar and Subodh Singh Sardar.
