Jamshedpur: The poster launch of the Chhattisgarhi film Lockdown Ke Maya took place at a hotel in Golmuri on Wednesday. The event was graced by MLA Purnima Sahu as the chief guest, alongside BJP leader Dinesh Kumar as a special guest.
Film producer Dr. J.K. Dewangan announced that Lockdown Ke Maya is set for release on March 21, 2025, at Mirage Cinema Hall (Golmuri), Jamshedpur. The film is co-produced by Dr. Pratima Dewangan, directed and written by MD Habib, with Uday Sahu serving as the production manager.
The movie features a mix of talent from Chhattisgarh and Jamshedpur. Lead roles are played by actors Sheeva Sahu, Nitin Gwala, and Sneha Dewangan, all of whom are making their debut with this film. Notably, 90 percent of the film has been shot in Jamshedpur, bringing local essence to the big screen.
Lockdown Ke Maya portrays the inspiring story of mutual support among people during the lockdown. Alongside family entertainment, the movie promises a gripping triangular love story filled with comedy, emotions, romance, and action.
The songs from the film have already gained popularity, with “Maar Dare” and “Priyadarshini” becoming fan favorites. These songs are available on the N Mahi Film YouTube channel.
A Chhattisgarhi film is being released in Jamshedpur after nearly 25 years, generating excitement among cinema enthusiasts. The poster launch event saw the presence of several dignitaries, including Dr. J.K. Dewangan, Dr. Pratima Dewangan, Sneha Dewangan, M.D. Habib, and Dinesh Sahu.
