Jubilee Park Gates to Remain Closed Till March 8

Founder’s Day Cleanup

Jamshedpur: The district administration has extended the closure of the Jubilee Park main gates until March 8, 2026. This move ensures the safe dismantling of the massive illumination and decorative installations used during the recent Founder’s Day celebrations.

Systematic Removal Underway

According to the revised order, officials made this decision to facilitate the organized removal of:

  • Lighting structures and decorative panels.

  • Temporary fixtures and structural installations.

  • Heavy equipment used for the grand festivities.

Prioritizing Public Safety

Tata Steel UISL officials stated that the annual Founder’s Day festivities require large-scale lighting arrangements that attract thousands of visitors. Because the dismantling process involves moving heavy machinery, vehicles, and technical crews throughout the premises, authorities must keep the gates closed to protect the public.

Reopening Schedule

Authorities urge residents and visitors to cooperate with these safety arrangements and avoid restricted areas. The district administration expects to resume normal public access to the main gates once crews finish the work on March 8.

Jamshedpur celebrates Founder’s Day annually to honor Jamsetji Nusserwanji Tata, the founder of the Tata Group, featuring elaborate lights and cultural events across the Steel City.
