Polling awareness campaign at Jamshedpur Women’s University

Jamshedpur, October 19: An election awareness program on ‘Democracy’ was organized by the Electoral Literacy Club at Jamshedpur Women’s University on Thursday.

 This event was organized under the guidance of vice chancellor of the University, Anjila Gupta.

While guiding the girl students, she highlighted the importance of voting in a democratic governance system.

Deputy electoral officer Priyanka Singh in her statement explained the technical problems that voters have to face during voting and what steps should be taken when a voter wants to change his address.

She told how new voters can apply for voter cards and connect with helpline centres in case of any problem during this period.

Students also got information regarding the importance of Voter ID cards. Voter card is accepted as personal identity proof. It can be used to identify someone whose exact address is not known.
