Police Remembrance Day observed in Jamshedpur 

Jamshedpur, October 21: On the occasion of Remembrance Day on Saturday, tribute was paid to the soldiers martyred on October 21, 1959 in Ladakh, at the Golmuri Police Line Complex.

Jamshedpur SSP Kishore Kaushal, city SP Mukesh Kumar Lunayat, rural SP Rishabh Garg and other police officers were present on the occasion. On this very day, Deputy Superintendent of Central Reserve Police Force, Karam Singh, along with his 20 brave companions, fought against the Chinese army and attained martyrdom while protecting the border of their country.

Since then every year 21st October is celebrated as Police Remembrance Day. Along with this, those brave soldiers of all the central paramilitary forces and state police forces who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty are also remembered.
