Jamshedpur Administration monitors control room, focus on peaceful Durga Puja

Jamshedpur: The Deputy Commissioner and  SSP are monitoring the situation in view of Durga Puja.

 The entire city is being monitored from the control room. The police have prepared a separate route specifically to avoid traffic jams. Special surveillance is being maintained in sensitive areas. Deputy Commissioner Manjunath Bhajantri said that in the light of the guidelines issued by the government for the successful conduct of the puja, magistrates and police officers have been deputed at all places.

For traffic control during the puja, barricading has been done at various places and drop gates have been made. The control room is active 24 hours. The patrolling party is continuously patrolling. NDRF and RAF have been put on alert.

DC said that especially on Ashtami and Navami, there is a huge crowd of devotees, in view of which the district administration and police are in constant touch with the puja committees. All officials have been instructed to remain alert on the day of idol immersion on Vijay Dashami. Puja committees have been asked to take out immersion processions only on the fixed route.
