Police recover cartridges from house of Shahrukh, arrest 7 in Jamshedpur firing case

Jamshedpur: The Jamshedpur police have made significant progress in their investigation into a firing incident in Burmamines’ Carriage Colony Muslim Basti. Police arrested Shahrukh and six others after cartridges were recovered from Shahrukh’s residence.

On Thursday, the police took Shahrukh to his house for a search and recovered a live bullet wrapped in a polythene. The search led to a confrontation, with family members accusing the police of framing Shahrukh. Several women from the locality gathered to question the police’s actions, which led to heated arguments at the scene.

The incident, which resulted in six injuries—including Shahrukh himself—was preceded by a clash and stone pelting. As part of the investigation, 25 individuals have been named as accused. The police have arrested Mohammad Shahrukh, Ghulam and Sajid, with three separate cases registered. Mohammad Shahid’s statement has implicated several others in the incident, including Shahbaz and Rehan, among others.
