Ranchi: Governor Syed Ahmed asked the police to speed up crime investigation so that timely legal action could be taken against the criminals.
If the police dedicate themselves to provide justice to the victims the department would be able to earn faith of the people.
The Governor was speaking on the occasion of Jharkhand Police Duty Meet organized by crime investigation department at JAP Ground.
Syed Ahmed on the occasion said that the investigation agencies must adopt latest techniques in crime investigation being applied in other parts of the country.
He urged the department to revive police-public interactions and strengthen information network. He congratulated the teams participated in the meet.
DGP Rajiv Kumar, additional chief secretary, NN Pandey and other senior police officials were present on the occasion.
The Police Meet witnessed various sports events. The winners of the sports contests would represent the State in national level police meets, Rajiv Kumar said.
