Road blockade against relocation of homeless at Madhukam

Ranchi: Local residents have protested relocation of the displaced residents of Islamnagar at Madhukam.

A local organization named Khadgara Bachao Samiti put up a road blockade on Ratu Road against the
rehabilitation of the homeless of Islamnagar at Madhukam.

Traffic had gone out of gear because of the road b instead of the displaced of Islamnagar. Later Urban Development Minister CP Singh rushed to the spot and assuaged the agitators.

Thereafter the blockade was lifted.

The agitators demanded that instead of the Islamnagar residents the local BPL families and the poor be allocated the newly constructed multi-storied buildings at Madhukam.

The Samiti has warned of further agitation if the demand was not met.

Several VIPs including rural development minister Neelkant Singh Munda stuck up at traffic snarl for several hours because of the road blockade.
