Jamshedpur: In a shocking incident police have arrested a woman on charges of atrocities on her domestic help at Sonari.
The accused, a housewife at Ashiana Gardens, has been arrested in this connection and police rescued the teenaged domestic help.
The aggrieved domestic help Pandiya narrated her ordeals at the hands of her employer. The domestic help alleged that Archana the housewife used to torture her and did not provide her enough food.
The girl who was employed also alleged that Archana used to beat her up on slightest pretext while forcing her to do all domestic chores.
Unable to bear the torture Pandiya fled from the home of her employer this morning and narrated her ordeal to local residents. The local residents informed the Sonari Police.
The police rushed to the spot and arrested Archana on the charges of torture on a minor. A case has also been registered in this connection.
There were marks of beating on the body of the domestic help at the time when she was rescued.
While the police detained Archana sent off the 13-year-old girl to her ancestral home at Kuchai.
The husband of the accused Sharad is reportedly out of station.
