Jamshedpur: Kerala Public School pledges to make for a greener, cleaner earth. The �Go Green� mission comes into effect with pledges taken by KPS Kadma students on the occasion of birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda.
The school strives to carry out the green campaign to ensure a clean and sustainable environment.
A contingent of youthful and enthusiastic students whom we call �Green Crusaders� or �Green soldiers� has geared up to build awareness through their sole motto �Go green, Save Mother Earth�.
Through a mime the essentials of preservation were conveyed. The school initiates to start different activities in building awareness among younger masses. The representatives would play their role to save the planet and the innovative practices will be shared through a common portal, the school authorities said.
The event was graced by KK Sharma, environmentalist, Chief Guest who was accompanied by Sharat Chandran Nair, the director and school principal Sharmila Mukherjee who has initiated the clean environment drive.
KK Sharma is a doctorate from BHU with expertise in the study of birds. He is the standing member of the Indian society for Ornithology for the eastern part of U.P/ Bihar and Jharkhand. He also lent his expertise to Kolhan University as the member of the senate. KK Sharma highlighted the practices to be followed for a stable environment by having a diverse and stable plant community.
