Jamshedpur : City police have arrested a youth named Jitendra Kumar for conspiring to kill his father a 65-year-old man, who was shot dead by bike-borne criminals in front of his tea-stall at Telco Colony under Telco police station area at the dawn on January 6. The victim, Shiv Prasad, who was a resident of Zone 1-B in Birsanagar.
Addressing the media Anup T Mathew said that the son was under suspicion and when the police team grilled he confessed to have plotted her father�s murder.
The police have also arrested Chunnu Pandya of Dumaria, Madho Lohar, and Sagen Manjhi. The police have also recovered four cell phones, two country made pistols, live cartridge and a bike. He informed that the arrested criminal Chunu was wanted in several criminal cases and carried a catch prize of Rs 50,000.
Prasad was found lying in a pool of blood in front of his tea-stall. A Tata Motors private security patrolling party which spotted the old man rushed him to the Tata Motors Hospital. As the condition of the victim was serious, the doctors on the emergency duty shifted him to the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit, where he succumbed to his injury in an hour.
