Jamshedpur, June 17: As part of the Centre’s flagship Prime Minister Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana (PMVBRY), Prime Minister Narendra Modi will virtually address beneficiaries and employers from New Delhi’s Vigyan Bhavan on June 19 and facilitate the disbursement of incentive benefits under the scheme.
The nationwide programme will be conducted simultaneously at nearly 200 locations across the country, where eligible employees and employers will receive incentives aimed at promoting formal employment and job creation.
The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation Regional Office, Jamshedpur, has planned two district-level events. For East Singhbhum, the programme will be held at Motilal Nehru Public School, while for Seraikela-Kharsawan district, it will take place at Adityapur Small Industries Association in Adityapur. Both events are scheduled to commence at 5 pm.
Several prominent public representatives are expected to attend the East Singhbhum programme, including former Jharkhand Chief Minister Arjun Munda, Jamshedpur MP Bidyut Baran Mahato, and local legislators representing Jamshedpur East, Jamshedpur West, Potka, Jugsalai, Ghatshila and Baharagora constituencies, besides civic representatives and government officials.
The Adityapur event is expected to witness the presence of former Chief Minister Raghubar Das, Singhbhum MP Joba Manjhi, and legislators from Ichagarh, Kharsawan, Seraikela and Manoharpur, along with industrialists, employers, workers and senior Central government officials.
A key feature of the programme will be direct interaction between beneficiaries, employers and public representatives. Employers will also hand over appointment letters to newly recruited workers. The initiative aims to create awareness about employee welfare schemes, labour reforms and the benefits of formal employment while strengthening the government’s commitment to job generation.
PMVBRY has been envisioned as a major employment-linked incentive initiative, reinforcing the message: “Whether employment or enterprise, the Government of India stands with you.”
