Photo identity cards for Jharkhand panchayat polls

Jamshedpur, May 4: Panchayat polls will be held in four phases in East Singhbhum district.

In the first phase, Ghatshila, Musabani, Dumaria and Gudabanda blocks under Ghatshila subdivision will go to polls on May 14, in second phase Dhalbhumgarh, Chakulia, Baharagora also under Ghatshila sub-division will go to polls on May 19 and in third phase under Dhalbhum sub-division, Bodam, Patmada Potka on May 24 and Golmuri cum Jugsalai in fourth phase on May 27.

In an order issued by district election officer-cum deputy commissioner East Singhbhum, Vijaya Jadhav, it has mandatory for common citizens / voters of Panchayat areas to ensure the identity of voters at the polling stations at the time of polling. For this, voters who have been provided Voter ID Card (EPIC) by the Election Commission of India, they will be identified through EPIC. But if a voter does not have a photo identity card, then  they can cast votes on the basis of any one of the following 12 alternative documents prescribed by the state election commission-Voter ID Card (EPIC), Voter slip with authentic photo issued by the election system, passport, driving license, service identity card with photograph issued by State/Central Government, Public Sector Undertakings, local body or Public Limited Company to their employees, bank/post office passbook, PAN card, Aadhar Card, job card with photo issued under Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme, photographed Health Insurance Scheme (Smart Card), pension card.

Observers to camp for poll-related complaints 

Jamshedpur, May 4: A general observer and an expenditure observer have been appointed for the third and fourth phase of elections in Dhalbhum, sub-division (for Patamda, Bodam, Potka, Golmuri-cum-Jugsalai) by the State Election Commission for panchayat polls.

Common citizens and electors of Panchayat areas can meet the General and Expenditure Observer from 3 pm to 4 pm at the place of their stay, the details of which are as follows-

The observers along with contact numbers and place of stay are as follows- Raju Ranjan Rao (general observer), Mobile number- 9431398413 at Chamaria Guest House, Room No.39.

Vinod Kumar (expenditure observer), Mobile number- 9234805464, Circuit House, New Building, Room No.-4.

General and Expenditure Observer can also be given any type of information/complaint related to the panchayat polls on their contact number.
